Guilt-Free Indulgence at Nourish
It’s safe to say that the food scene and culinary culture in KL has elevated to an international
level over the past few years. As a consequence, it’s easy to get caught up in the rich flavours
of European cuisine, West Asian delicacies and of course, all of our home-grown favourites that
bring together these key ingredients; oils, butters, fats, and creams. All these ingredients
assist in making the stresses of life dissipate into our stomachs.

However, as these stressors disappear, our waistlines are unfortunately expanding at a rate that
the extra yoga class or additional 2,000 steps a day, cannot keep up with. Alas, what is one to do?
For those who are lucky enough to be alighting from the Semantan MRT or just generally in the
Damansara Heights area, the good people from the Kenny Hills Hospitality Group have provided us
with scrumptious solutions. Unfortunately, it’s not a magical, calorie-free pizza or guiltless
croissant, but fortunately it’s not far off; the new bakery and whole foods café called Nourish
may well be the answer to our problems.

Serving up delicious brunches, salads, and mains with a focus on gluten-free and
plant-based meals, Nourish’s mission is to elevate the dining experience without
compromising the authentic, robust flavours of each dish.
There’s something on offer for everyone; whether you’re Vegan, gluten-conscious
or a calorie counter, the Nourish menu has you covered.
From Kimchi Fried Quinoa (with fresh avocado, crispy tempeh, tofu, seaweed, and
toasted sesame) to Mediterranean Shakshuka (baked eggs, tomatoes, roasted red peppers,
harissa, fresh parsley and crusty sourdough), and the Spicy “Chickn” (not actually
chicken) Burger (Phuture crispy fried “chicken” patty, tomato jam, pickles and lettuce
served with skin-on fries), Nourish offers a wide array of choices to cater to your cravings.

While coffee isn’t Nourish’s main focus, their brews are well-regarded thanks to their
connection to Kenny Hills Coffee. Your caffeine fix can readily be taken care of and
according to your preference, may be accompanied by dairy free options like oat and almond
milk. Aside from coffee, there is a wide range of other beverage options that are just as
nutritious and delicious as the food. I mean, what would a whole foods café be without an
extensive list of smoothies, botanicals, and freshly pressed juices?
As for the space, Nourish has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that compliments the dining
experience. The whole café is bathed in a warm and inviting glow thanks to the open design
which allows natural light to flow in.

Nourish is a veritable culinary treasure for those in search of a variety of dietary options
that don’t skimp on flavour. As Anna Chew from the Yum List said in her review of the café,
“Hearty meals for the soul which happen to be healthy and delicious!” Conveniently located on
the ground floor of The 5th Place at The Five, ,the establishment's doors are open daily at 8am
and closing time is 9pm.
